Celebrate the season and put together the sweetest DIY Easter baskets for your kids. We’re showing you everything we put in our Easter baskets this year, including the best Easter basket finds for toddlers and young kids!
Never one to shy away from an excuse to celebrate a holiday, I wanted to make something special for our kids for Easter, despite the fact that we will most certainly be celebrating at home. And Easter baskets are the perfect way to celebrate; they’re easy to put together right in your own home.
I want to continue to celebrate the good and special moments in our home and I’m determined to keep our girls’ memories full of joy during this weird time in the world.
Over the next few days, I’ll be teaming up with a few fellow mom bloggers and influencers to share everything we put in our kids Easter baskets this year over on my Instagram Stories. (And of course, you can reference this post for all of the links to the things I featured in this year’s Easter baskets.)
My hope is that although in this season of our lives, things may be difficult, a sweet celebration in your home can bring in some needed goodness. If you take away even one small idea to pass on to your kids, I’ll consider this year’s Easter basket ideas a roaring success.

Everything We Put in Our Kids Easter Baskets This Year
We have two daughters, so we made two Easter baskets; one geared towards a toddler (our youngest is two years old) and one geared towards a young child; i.e., preschool age through kindergarten (our oldest is five years old.)

My big goals when putting together our kids Easter baskets this year:
- activities and toys that lend themselves to more imaginative play
- crafts and art supplies that we can use at home again and again
- books that will really capture their attention (i.e., a book of science experiments, board books for our toddler, chapter books to read aloud to our kindergartener)
- sweet little toys to make them smile
- accessories – like hair clips – I know they’ll use
By the way, I snagged these $3 baskets from the Target dollar spot last year and we use them for so many things. These adorable little wire baskets also double as a great way to organize the girls’ play kitchen. We use them to hold all of the play food and fruits and vegetables in their KidKraft Uptown kitchen. So cute and such a simple way to store all of the loose kids’ kitchen accessories and food. And at $3 a basket, they’re affordable, on-trend, and functional; gotta love it! (You can check out the whole selection of Target’s white wire baskets here.)
