Little Love Notes

A few little love notes to the things I loved most this week, including the pom pom cardigan of my dreams, Ladybird, and homemade teddy grahams. | glitterinc.com | @glitterinc

H E L L O  W E E K E N D ! ! ! It has been a jam-packed week (photo shoots and lots of holiday work), plus hubby has been working crrrazy hours at the hospital – days and nights, boooo. Today, Saturday, we’re mostly hunkering down since the weather is all kinds of gross. It’s about 33° out and it’s raining cold slushy ice. It’s supposed to turn to snow at some point today, but mostly it’s just cold and grey. Tonight we have a holiday party and tomorrow is the local Chanukah festival; so I’m really hoping this weather holds out. But, I always have about a gajillion presents to finish shopping for and wrapping. I’ll be sharing what we’re up to throughout the weekend over on instagram (lots of fun behind-the-scenes on my insta stories too!), facebook, and twitter. Follow along! How about you? Any exciting weekend plans?

With that, a few little love notes to the things I loved most this week …

Dear lessons in love, a secret to a happy marriage.

Dear movies I really want to see, Ladybird. Have you seen it? It’s on my must-see list. You know … the one I’ll get to about a year after a movie is in theaters, because it’s the only way busy moms get to see movies. 😂

Dear weekend bakinghomemade chocolate teddy grahams.

Little Love Notes

Lifestyle blogger Lexi of Glitter, Inc. shares a few little love notes to the things she loved most this week, including decorating for the holidays, an $18 pearl-studded sweater dress, and lazy blackberry morning buns. | glitterinc.com | @glitterinc

Hello, weekend! It’s been a busy week for us – we shot a bunch of great content for the holidays earlier in the week, and I’ve been a workaholic ever since. You know, between juggling two little girls. The struggle is real, y’all. This weekend, we’re hoping to go to the local tree lighting ceremony and maybe a festival if we can find one. I love this time of year! We always have ALL of the holiday shopping to get done – and our gift list is enormous – so I’m attempting to stay organized. Oh yeah, aaaaand I still have to decorate the house. It’s totally normal to feel eternally behind when you have kids, right?

Little Love Notes

A few little love notes to the things I loved most this week, including Thanksgiving plans, a better nights sleep, and Nutella-filled soft granola bars. | glitterinc.com | @glitterinc

Happy weekend! We’re busy getting ready for our trip next week to Asheville to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. I’m bringing a few recipes – mostly desserts, and cooking a bit there too, so I’ve already started planning the menu. These apple crisp shortbread bars are definitely on the list (so much easier than pie!), and I know we’ll have some version of brussels sprouts – because everyone in my family, including our 3-year-old, loves them. Other than that, this weekend, hubby works much of it, but we have a busy Sunday, including finding him a suit for his brother’s upcoming wedding. As in, I get to shop. 😍

We’re traveling a ton over the next several weeks (through the holidays), so it’s busy, busy for us. I’ll be sharing what we’re up to throughout the weekend over on instagram (lots of fun behind-the-scenes on my insta stories too!), facebook, and twitter. Little Love Notes

Lifestyle blogger Lexi of Glitter, Inc. shares a few little love notes to the things she loved most this week, including this Meh pillow, Notting Hill, and apple cinnamon rolls. | glitterinc.com | @glitterinc

It’s been four weeks to the day since little Emme joined our crazy crew, and goodness, she fits. But I get asked daily, “How’s she sleeping?” And I can’t help but chuckle to myself. How do newborns sleep? Meh. That’s pretty much my answer to everyone. I mean, she sleeps; in 1-3 hour intervals. And they ask, because we’ve all been there. The sleep deprivation is real. The struggle to juggle it all is real. The better question is probably, “How are you surviving?” And we are. We’re surviving, with all of the help we can get; and like every stage with babies and kids, this too shall pass. (For the record, I type that with one finger as I rock her with the other arm, feverishly making that “shushing” sound and dreaming of my now cold coffee just out of reach. But I’m about to hit publish on this blog post, so I’m considering this morning a great success.)

As for the weekend, tomorrow is Hubby’s birthday! Scarlett is SO excited – mostly, I think, because of the prospect of cake. Girl has her priorities. Odds of her donning the princess costume for the festivities are high.  Other than that, we’re playing the weekend by ear. Rumor has it, the weather is warming back up for a few days and we intend to take full advantage. I’ll be sharing what we’re up to throughout the weekend over on instagram (lots of fun behind-the-scenes on my insta stories too!), facebook, and twitter. Follow along! How about you? Any exciting weekend plans?

With that, a few little love notes to the things I loved most this week …

Dear wanderlust, colorful scenes from London’s Notting Hill.

Dear unrealistic beauty, this photographer stunningly captured women wearing strange beauty products that promise instant cures to almost all beauty problems; i.e., they fight “problem zones,” in the series “Beauty Warriors.”

Dear condiment enthusiasts, the surprising history behind ketchup.

Dear elusive inbox zero, how to manage your inbox more effectively.

Dear what to wear, I just found THE cutest step-hem jeans with great reviews, and they’re just $65 at Nordstrom right now. (They even have a hint of velvet detailing – perfect for fall!)

Dear dancing days, you’ll be mesmerized by these turns.

Dear weekend baking, homemade apple cinnamon rolls.

Happy weekend! We’re hunkering down today; everyone seems to have whatever little bug is going around, so we’re watching movies and laying low. Clearly, it’s too cold for our Miami veins.
