It’s Amazon Prime Day!!! The year’s Amazon Prime Day starts NOW and I am way too excited about all of the amazing deals. If you’re not familiar with Amazon Prime Day, it’s a huge sale on Amazon, held once a year, and exclusive to Amazon Prime members, where new bargains go live every five minutes. They’re called “lightning deals.” It’s like Black Friday in July!!
In fact, Amazon Prime Day has been SO popular, other major retailers have hopped on the bandwagon. For instance, Target also started their own “Deal Days” which run online only from July 15th through July 16th. (Pro tip: if you miss a lightning deal on Amazon Prime Day, hop on over to Target to see if they have the same item on sale.)
Amazon Prime Day starts Monday, July 15th at 12 a.m. PST and for the first time ever, runs for 48 hours!

First things first, to shop Prime Day, you need to be an Amazon Prime member. Anyone can join Prime or start a 30-day free trial at amazon.com/primeday to participate. (Even if you’re new to the whole thing, I’m fairly certain Amazon Prime is going to be your new best friend.)
Seriously, I loved Amazon Prime from the start, but as a parent, Amazon Prime is my life line. I’ve come to realize that there’s pretty much nothing you can’t get in less than 48 hours thanks to Amazon. And for an exhausted parent, that’s solid gold.
Not only is the 30-day free trial of Prime Day the best offer of the year, but it’s the gift that keeps on giving because you also get access to Amazon Prime’s extensive video, audio and book collection. I read ALL of the free books on my tablet.
We love Prime Instant Video; we’re talking unlimited instant streaming of thousands of popular movies and TV episodes with your Prime membership – check out this post for the best shows to binge watch on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime; Prime Music (unlimited access to over a million songs, ad-free stations, and hundreds of playlists), and so much more.
