Happy (almost) weekend! It’s been super hot here in Boston. It actually hit 97 the other day (which kind of blew my mind). Thankfully, our new house has central A/C – a total luxury in the city – so we’ve been staying close to home the last couple of days.
How has the week been for you? If you have kids, have they started school yet or are you currently in the throes of back-to-school shopping and (stress) preparations? 🙈 I’ve been so excited to finally send the girls back to school. Now, with everything going on, I’m struggling to remain optimistic about it all. In other words, I’m in a glass case of emotion. Anyone else? Just me? k, cool.
Weekend Plans
Lucky for us, this weekend we’re going to try to make the most of one of our last few summer weekends. I “rented” a pool on this app, Swimply. The girls are thrilled to get to swim in a big pool. It’s funny, growing up in Miami, I really took for granted how everyone had a pool in their backyard. Now, living in New England, it’s a big day when we bust out the inflatable pool. 😆
We also may take a drive to the beach and pick up lobster rolls and ice cream cones, because why not? I started a great new book – Last Summer at the Golden Hotel. Though I’m only two chapters in, I’m already hooked. Sunday is shaping up to be a “dive into a good book” kind of day … with a side of never-ending unpacking.
How about you? Any exciting weekend plans?
In case you don’t yet follow along, I’ll be sharing what we’re up to throughout the weekend over on instagram (lots of fun behind-the-scenes on my insta stories too!), facebook, and twitter. Follow along!
With that, a few little love notes to the things I loved most this week …
Dear cozy vibes, this designer’s Brooklyn rental apartment is giving me major style envy. Suddenly very much need a brick wall.
Dear lunchtime rut, these adult lunchables ideas sound so good I might actually meal prep lunch … for once.
Holiday romance vibes, dear, (too soon?), SO excited for this new rom-com (it sounds a lot like The Holiday!)
Dear perfect denim found, Citizens of Humanity (one of my favorites!) made a new style of slightly cropped jeans and I’m on love. (Shop more Citizens of Humanity here.)
Dear career hunting, here are 10 impressive (and helpful!) questions to ask in a job interview.
Snackaholics anonymous, dear, has anyone tried dried tangerine wedges? They’re apparently all the rage and based off of the glowing reviews, I need to get my hands on these ASAP.
Dear wanderlust, San Miguel de Allende may just be Mexico’s hidden treasure and this article has me wanting to explore.
Dear flashback Friday, have you seen that Vans have made a major comeback? I’ll admit, I’m pretty tempted by the laidback slide sneakers and this more muted colorway.
Dear weekend baking, vegan blackberry lemon cobbler. Yum. (See more favorite vegan dessert recipes here.)
