Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all of the mamas (grandmas, aunts, best friends, and amazing mom-like figures) out there! If you can escape for a little “me time” for even thirty minutes this weekend, do just that. You’ve 100% earned it this past year. 🤪
We don’t have any definite plans for Mother’s Day weekend, but I’m excited to enjoy Boston in all of it’s spring glory (seriously, flowers are everywhere right now and I adore it!) I’m also sharing a few photos from our walk around Back Bay last weekend, in case you want to see more of the city in full bloom.
I’m also sure we’ll do plenty of eating along the way this Mother’s Day weekend. I’m such a nerd and I’ve been compiling a list of restaurant recommendations since we moved to the area a year-and-a-half ago, and so far, it’s never failed me. (Anyone else keep a running list of restaurants?) There are a few places I’ve been especially excited to try, so takeout is definitely on the menu.
Other than that, I’m going to hide on the porch with a cup of coffee in hand and dive into my newest book. I just shared an awesome list of vacation reads (a.k.a., books to escape into), in case you too need a good book to get into.
How about you? Any exciting weekend plans? Do you have any favorite Mother’s Day traditions or any special way you like to spend the day?
In case you don’t yet follow along, I’ll be sharing what we’re up to throughout the weekend over on instagram (lots of fun behind-the-scenes on my insta stories too!), facebook, and twitter. Follow along!
Little Love Notes, Boston in Spring + Mother’s Day Weekend Plans
With that, a few little love notes to the things I loved most this week …
Plus, Boston in Spring Time!
Dear daily chill, 99 ways to add mindfulness to your day. (Some of these are really good!)
Dear last-minute Mother’s Day finds, It’s Anthro Day all weekend long at Anthropologie, which means you can take 20% off everything! Mike ordered me these slippers, they’re down to $22 during the sale, and I’m in love with them. They’re unbelievably soft. đź’• (I’m also eyeing these jeans, a few more of my favorite mini matte latte bowls, and this sequined duster jacket. #treatyoself
Dear exercising without really exercising, why walking is the most underrated form of fitness. (Spoiler: Science shows that plain old walking leads to some seriously impressive mental and physical benefits.)
Dear home transformations, the redesign on this neglected Palm Springs ranch is SO cool (and bonus: it’s a rentable getaway).
Dear weekend giggles, is it a vaccine side effect or have you just been alive for 40 years?
Dear necessary realness, stop spending time on things you hate.
Dear summer reading list, 20 new books by Asian authors to look forward to.
Dear weekend baking, excited to try out this everyday artisan bread (no starter, no kneading, no fancy equipment required!)
