It’s a snow day!! And the first Little Love Notes of the new year.
It’s been a minute since I’ve shared one of these “little love notes” link roundup type posts, and I missed it. Working on getting back to my blogging roots and sharing the things that really make me smile. First up are a few little love notes to the things I loved around the web this week. In include things I’m bookmarking, things that made me smile and learn and hit forward to friends and family; you know, the good stuff.
As for our plans this weekend: a whole lot of playing in the snow, getting the house in shape after a busy holiday season, and hopefully tackling the baby’s nursery. We were able to finally decorate the girls’ shared mermaid room and they’ve been so happy with the results. Dreaming up a nursery design as I type, and the first load of tiny baby clothes are in the washing machine. 😭😍
How about you? Any exciting weekend plans to celebrate the first weekend of fall?
In case you don’t yet follow along, I’ll be sharing what we’re up to throughout the weekend over on instagram (lots of fun behind-the-scenes on my insta stories too!), facebook, and twitter. Follow along!
With that, a few little love notes to the things I loved most this week …
Dear weekend reading, I just finished an advanced readers copy of Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez and I absolutely devoured it. It’s a slightly unique twist on a more traditional romance trope, but goodness, did it keep me on my toes. I read the book in two days and still want more. Put it on your wishlist, stat.
Dear celebrity gossip, oh my gosh, the unrequited love story between Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves has me shook.
Dear home refresh, have you seen the new Hearth and Hand x Magnolia spring collection at Target? So many pretty pieces, including this show-stopping distressed striped stoneware pitcher for under $20.
Dear snow day solutions, did you know that there’s an entire Bluey album on Spotify? Dance party here we come.
Dear weekend giggles, the business plan behind a $1 grilled cheese truck.
Dear travel must-haves, I finally jumped on the bandwagon and ordered the super popular BAGSMART Hanging Toiletry Bag (from Amazon) in an attempt to start getting my hospital bag packed for baby number 3 and so far, I’m obsessed. I’m just going to keep it mostly packed so that I can grab it at the ready for the big day and then in the future, anytime we’re headed out on a trip.
Dear loungewear goals, Amazon The Drop came out with their own version of the very on-trend cropped sweater pants and matching sweater (with adorable back slit) and this set is CUTE. (Pair it with these $22 sheepskin slide slippers for weekend wear perfection.)
