I have a confession to make. While a lot of design-minded people search through thrift sales and flea markets and great vintage spots for unique elements to add to their home and closet, I always seem to land on the ridiculous.
Take this tiara for example:
I absolutely drooled over it’s awesomeness. In a sea of oddities, and hidden gems, I beeline it for the sparkly tiara. I have no need for a tiara. None at all. But I love it. Clearly my vintage shopping radar is broken.
Big tacky rings? I’ll take five.
Another leopard coat? Don’t mind if I do!
Are you a fab vintage shopper? Teach me your ways!
I don’t vintage shop often, but I think I get really lucky when I do. Once I found an Oscar de la Renta blazer at an NYC vintage store – it was years ago and I don’t think the place is there anymore and I’m pretty sure I didn’t spend more than $20 on it. Best find ever!
Now that’s an awesome find! #jealous
Love vintage pieces!
Love it! I often gravitate to the most sparkly items (aka sometimes slightly ridiculous) as well. Its just plain fun 🙂
I couldn’t agree more! 🙂
Love that leopard coat! Please tell me you took that home with you!
That ring pic made me laugh! That’s always good on a Monday. BTW- I’m no good at vintage shopping, I am quite jealous of those who are though.
Isn’t it impressive? Especially the design finds!
There is nothing better than a great vintage find! That tiara is phenomenal!
Isn’t That Charming.
Lovely finds! Love the tacky rings!
Hey Lexi
Thanks for the comment! We just got through the storm safe and sound (thank God!) although we’re out of power and probably will be for days! Thanks for the safe wishes.
Love the vintage leopard coat!

J’adore vintage shopping! It’s always a toss-up though on what I’ll find! There are a couple shops though that I’m never disappointed with so I typically hit those first when I go on the hunt!
Agreed – sometimes I find ten things I want and sometimes I come home empty-handed.
I literally JUST went to a vintage festival in Chicago & fell in love with everything. It’s awesome to own a piece of history as well as be able to negotiate your prices! I’m looking forward to another. Oh & that leopard coat is FAB!
Definitely the bst part about vintage shopping — I just love all of the history (the sparkly doesn’t hurt either!)
