After attending Target’s fashion show during New York Fashion Week a few weeks back, I’m still sorting through the million+ pictures snapped during the show, and picking out trends I can’t wait to try out for Fall. Of all of the fashion shows I attended, Target truly offers the most fun, wearable perspective for the everyday girl, and at Target’s prices, why wouldn’t you hop right into the cutest new trends?
And one of my favorite trends? The crisp tailored looks on so many of the models.
By morning, I work in a law office, and though there’s no strict dress code, I look a bit like a teenager (I blame my height … never quite made it past 5-foot-2), so I try to dress a bit more tailored for my mornings in the office – a blazer and a great pair of heels go a long way in convincing “grown ups” I’m actually an attorney and not the intern. Target has nailed the tailored trend this season, with adorable blazers that work over a dress or pin skirt, but can be taken from day-to-night just as easily, thrown on with a pair of jeans. The dresses all have great, fitted shapes, with just the right amount of cinch at the waistline. And the shoes; well, I want them all.
You can shop the complete Tailored Trend at Target right now, and take a look at a few of my favorites: Target Sunglasses Whitehall // Sonia Kashuk Satin Luxe Lip Color // Merona Sleeveless Pleated Front Blouse // Merona Ponte Stripe Dress // Merona Long-Sleeve Oxford Blazer // Sam & Libby Dominique Pointed Toe Pump in Cabernet // Mossimo High Low Ponte Skirt w/ Faux Leather // Merona® Meg Chunky Heel Pump // 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Peplum Tank // Mossimo Faux Leather Sleeve Moto Jacket // Mossimo Striped Ankle Pant // Mossimo Faux Leather Trim Dinner Jacket // Mossimo® Tote Handbag // Mossimo Supply Co. Voneta Studded Tuxedo Flat in Leopard
And be sure to stay tuned, I’ll keep on sharing more behind-the-scenes looks from the top secret Target fashion show held during this year’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week over the next few weeks and months. As always, follow along here on the blog, and with the #TargetGoesGlam and #TargetStyle hashtags.
