Somehow, I stopped posting Little Love Notes late last year, and you know what? I miss them. I actually started posting Little Love Notes on my blog years and years ago, writing little love letters to the things I found most inspiring, interesting, funny, unusual, etc. all over the internet. And lately, I’m thinking we could all use a bit of loveliness.
So today, because I’m feeling nostalgic, I’m jumping back in!
We actually collected these flowers on our walk around the neighborhood the other day, and I love keeping that sweet reminder of spring on our counter in a jar. Anyone else getting serious cabin fever these days?
It’s been trickier even going for walks since the girls both need to wear masks and trying to keep them on their faces is … interesting. (I actually just ordered these Disney Frozen face masks, so here’s to hoping they’ll be excited enough about their new masks that they may be willing to wear them for longer than two minute stretches.)
Plus, living in a dense city means even with social distancing, sidewalks are still pretty crowded. 😞
Still, we’re making the most of our time at home and I’m honestly relishing being with my family all of the time. I’ve never baked or crafted quite so much. So it’s been a good lesson in slowing down and in a weird way, I’m grateful for that.
Mother’s Day Celebrations
So cheers to the weekend! We have a ton of home projects (more on that soon!) and low-key Mother’s Day celebrations on the horizon! Happy Mother’s Day and I hope your living room celebrations are wonderful! ❤️
In case you don’t yet follow along, I’ll be sharing what we’re up to throughout the weekend over on instagram (lots of fun behind-the-scenes on my insta stories too!), facebook, and twitter. Follow along! So how about you? Any exciting weekend plans?
With that, a few little love notes to the things I loved most this week …
Dear Humans of New York, bravo! FYI: @humansofny — at home — is sharing stories in an absolutely beautiful, brilliant way.
Dear isolation boredom, 35 things you can do at home right now.
Dear desperately in need of a haircut, how to cut your own hair at home.
Dear wardrobe rut, give your sweatshirts an upgrade with a customized embroidered tie dye sweatshirt from Etsy. (Seriously love these!)
Dear black thumb, 23 small indoor plants you’ll (almost definitely) be able to keep alive. I am cautiously optimistic.
Dear Chrissy Teigen, I think you may just have convinced me to become a robe person, starting with this one, this one, and this one.
Dear dreaming of parties and birthday cake, the most beautiful gingham cake in all the land.
Dear weekend baking, the mini pancake cereal trend taking Instagram by storm.
Get the origins of these sweet little love notes, here, and catch up on love notes of the past.
