Somewhere around the late 90s/early 2000s I became obsessed with dog tag necklaces, and though they weren’t incredibly chic, they had some serious cool factor. And suddenly, in a major time warp (as most fashion trends go), dangling charm necklaces were back, in an utterly sophisticated way. Hello, 2014! Jennifer Fisher, edgy jewelry designer extraordinaire, for instance, has a line of create-your-own charm necklaces and they are both gorgeous and very much out-of-my-price-range. But I love the idea of combining a meaningful mix of charms – names, initials, dates, symbols and stones, with a touch of whimsy and couture.
“Everyone has their own lucky charms,” says Fisher, whose line is famous for its unique charm necklaces. “My charm necklace is my armor … Everyone has those few pieces of jewelry that they don’t take off—the rings or necklaces or bracelets they wear every day—that make them feel empowered.” {via Glamour.com}
I love it. So I did a bit of homework …
