You know those dream jobs you fantasize that you would be so good at? Well window design is one of mine. I’ve always been in awe of the amazing talents who design the window displays for stores like Nordstrom, Free People, and Anthropologie. Truth is, I’d probably be awful at it – mannequins falling, piles of shoes everywhere, pulling practically half the store to stuff into a window display (because I have a permanent case of the “I want it all”‘s). But when ShopStyle & Nordstrom asked me to put together my vision for a holiday window featuring items from their store, I got positively giddy! The theme: holiday parties, because I’m forever in love with a stunning little dress and great accessories. And in my mind, other than cozy blankets and hot chocolate, holiday parties are the theme of any great holiday. (Any excuse to dress up, and I’m excited!)
I put together a sort of “lookbook” design of what my Nordstrom Holiday window would look like; think that, plus a whole lot of sparkle and confetti, and a few towers of champagne, and maybe a red carpet. (Told you I’d get over-eager with my wannabe window display!)

I used to do window displays for the gap in college, i had to follow their plan for the most part but once we sold out of what was in the displays, I got free region on my designs. it was such a fun job! love your picks, i would def shop that window.
