Fall Checklist: A Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend we took Scarlett to her first ever pumpkin patch. She was totally impressed, as in, she slept the whole time. But her Daddy and I were ridiculously excited to kick off our Fall with a visit to a pumpkin patch … even if it was in 86 degree Miami weather. Sometimes, despite the odds, you’ve just got to rock a blanket cape, for the sake of a trend. And play in a pumpkin patch.

I was so excited when I spotted this blanket cape/poncho at Sears. The look is right on trend and this cape has it all – unbelievably soft and cozy fabric, sleek styling (love the fringe), even the toggles are chic. I paired the cape with a sleeved dress, leggings and boots. I have to mention here that Sears’ seamless leggings are possibly the best leggings I have ever tried (and I have tried oh so many!) The leggings are soft, form-fitting, and super flattering (they’re also ridiculously comfy – a plus for this new mama.) Did I mention their leggings are also only $7.99 a pair? So good.

    haha i applaud your fall dedication! not everyone would go with a blanket cape in 80 degree weather 😉 And Scarlett’s enthusiasm matches my dad’s, haha. I told him we should do a family pumpkin carving party and all he did was roll his eyes and turn back to the computer. C’mon now!
