I love a good party, and normally, I obsess over holiday decor, from invitations to table setting to party favors, but with a baby on board, party-planning has most definitely taken a back seat. Still, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to get festive. The beauty of Thanksgiving is that the holiday is all about gathering with family and friends and good food. My mom has always said that even a store-bought prepared turkey can bring everyone together, and so, with that in mind, I’ve got simple Thanksgiving party prep on the brain; and what’s simpler than a buffet? Fill your counters and table with food, serving utensils, glasses and drinks, and you’ve got yourself an easy no-fuss Thanksgiving holiday.
Print up a chalkboard menu with a list of everything you’re “serving”, lay out stacks of napkins, fill a utensil caddy or cups with silverware, arrange the food on various dishes and cake stands for a more interesting presentation, light a few candles, and you’ve got yourself a party!
By the way, did you know you can have an entire turkey dinner delivered to your door? (Check out places like Williams-Sonoma for all of the details!)
