The other day I was checking out at a store when I spied the snazziest handful of rings worn by the girl behind the counter. Her style was of course, totally rad, but her mis-matched oversized rings – all in hues of tarnished silver [kind of witchy – like she walked off the set of The Craft (how’s that for a throwback?)] – were so cool, I couldn’t take my eyes off them. The effect of layering stacks of chunky rings was edgy and chic and I totally want to recreate it, stat.
Cool Spotting: Layering Stacks of Chunky Rings
Though I’d probably go for a cleaner look (I do love delicate rings!), I really like the idea of trying out a few chunkier rings, mixed in with my more delicate rings – especially when going out for the night or to make a statement with an outfit. What’s extra awesome about this look is that you can easily mix metals (silver, gold, rose gold, oxidized); it really just ups the “cool” factor.
All of the rings by new-to-me brand, Lauren Wolf are ah-mazing. Hammered details, brushed metals, skulls, snakes, gems and stones, a mix of new and vintage: total swoon. And of course, they just work so well in stacks. (Images above and below.)
I also love how this Alexis Bittar 4-piece stack is a perfect foray into the layered chunky stack look (with the whole look in one stack); likewise with this Forever 21 stack (that’s under $6!). This cocktail ring is bold and stunning and easily recreates the chunky ring look with just one ring, and you can’t go wrong with a coil-shaped snake ring. A signet ring worn on the pinky or pointer finger is also too cool for school and just a touch mafia (plus, it’s monogrammed, and I love a good monogram!)

For me, chunky rings on several fingers is a bit much but I love the idea on one finger!

Ughhh. I love the look of ring stacks but they are so hard for me to pull off/find the right base pieces. Great inspo. Thanks for sharing.
