I’ve officially been having the BEST time searching T.J.Maxx stores for all of these amazing designer finds. (Catch up on all of my incredible T.J.Maxx finds, here.) I’ll admit, sometimes you’ll have this incredible shopping trip to T.J.Maxx, filling your cart with bags, shoes, clothes, and then other times, you leave with a new serving tray and a pit in your stomach that the designer leopard calf hair heels you were really coveting were on those T.J.Maxx shelves, but not in your size. The horror. But then I go again a few days later, or I visit the next closest T.J.Maxx (because I’m nothing if not perseverant), and there on the shelves are my perfect heels, in just the right size.
This past week was like that. I went to two T.J.Maxx stores in a weekend, and came out totally victorious, and three pairs of designer shoes richer (flats – check, wedges – check, leopard heels – check!) And as fate would have it, this week’s T.J.Maxx maxxinista post is all about mixed media; mixing prints, fabrics, colors, patterns, design. That was an easy enough task with my leopard heels in hand, and considering I swear by style icon and J.Crew Director Jenna Lyons’ wise words: “As far as I’m concerned leopard is a neutral.”
Then I thought I’d play with various mixed media trends. I paired navy and black, because I love the darker combination. I also paired various textures: a chiffon dress with a crochet neckline, a {faux} quilted leather jacket with gold hardware, a studded grey scarf found at T.J.Maxx (that I’ll be wearing all Fall and Winter), calf hair leopard heels also found at T.J.Maxx, and a pebbled leather gold-studded bag. And last but not least, because fashion should always be fun, I went with one more mixed media trend: mixed metals. I’ve always been into mixing my jewelry – from silver to gold, and back again – mostly because I love all of my jewelry in equal parts and it’s hard not to wear what I want to wear all of the time, and all at once. I stacked a few gold rings, plus a hefty silver ring, and I mixed up my nail polish as well. FYI: both nail polish colors that I’m wearing – the nude/sand color and the gold glitter metallic – are from T.J.Maxx (You’ve gotta love their beauty department!)

You look so gorgeous! I’m loving those amazing leopard shoes.
Yay – you’re the best – thank you!
Lexi, please tell me what color that lipstick is! It would pair perfectly with a dress I’m wearing to a wedding in a week 🙂
Of course! It’s NARS in Heat Wave: https://ow.ly/pVr8S (One of my faves!)
What a great look! I love the leopard shoes! TJMaxx always has the best things!
These are all beautiful pieces. I could not agree with you more about TJ Maxx. I am a little obsessed and have driven to multiple stores (I won’t say how many) in one day to find something in my size! You have a darling website. I am glad I found it!

I’m so glad to hear I’m not alone – definitely guilty of racing to more than one store in a day (or an hour!) And of course, I’m thrilled you like the site!! xx
