Make the Switch: Small Wallets

I am a classic over-packer. My purses are always too heavy, my luggage, even worse (but that’s a different story for a different day). This Summer, though, I’m trying to lighten the load. I’m starting with a smaller purse (still on the hunt for that one, though I will forever love this bucket bag … a total Summer staple), and of course, using a smaller bag, requires less stuff. (Forced to declutter by fashion: that’s how I operate.)

I’m thinking about making the switch to a smaller wallet as well.  Considering I no longer carry a checkbook, the need for the huge continental or checkbook wallet is pretty obsolete. There also happen to be some adorable small wallet styles out there that are both functional and totally cute …

I’m currently torn between the Tory Burch wallet ($135) and that leopard Rebecca Minkoff wallet (at just $105); and then of course, there’s the dreamiest of couture wallets: the Chanel small wallet.

    These are so cute! I love the leopard one! I have to admit, I’m weird about my cash getting folded up. I just bought a new traditional-sized wallet from ban.do, after my silver glitter wallet starting getting pretty beat up. But downsizing is tempting!
