Match is tomorrow. In honor of that, I’m trying to give myself a break. We’ve talked through all of the possible outcomes, the scenarios, the lifestyle, what it means for our family. We’ve talked to family and friends and mentors. We talk in circles. It will only matter tomorrow, when we open that envelope. So until then, I’m trying to take deep breaths, dream of the possibilities, and trust that our little family will fit right in, wherever that may be.
In case breathing, and copious amounts of tea don’t work, any suggestions for relaxing? I’ve never been great at it. My mind is always whirling a mile a minute. Do share.

Good luck tomorrow! I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for you and your family. Try to stay calm today – I do some yoga or head to the beach when I need to clear my mind. Or, since I was an equestrian for many years, to the nearest stable!

As someone who is constantly contemplating and wracking my nerves, the most helpful piece of advice that I have heard is this: Just because you feel anxious, does not mean you are scared. You are excited. Once I take the “fear” out of the equation, I feel much better. (I usually have to repeat this to myself many times over). Good luck on your new adventure!

Take a bubble bath. It is the only way for me to calm my nerves!
