I can’t believe our vacation has rolled to a close and today is my first day back in the real world: coffee, law office, blogging, and all. But this trip was actually so refreshing for me. I kind of love vacation for that reason: it’s so invigorating. Hubby and I spent at least half the vacation talking about our goals, our plans for work, ways to decorate the new place, errands we want to run. We talked all about the blog, and my quickly-approaching launch of Glitter, Inc. (we’re almost there — I promise!) We used our time away from reality as a chance to re-think, to brainstorm, get excited and motivated, and re-envision our own reality – which I love. That’s not to say I don’t yearn for pasta, gelato, everything about London, and the whole no-responsibility thing, but it is nice to have a plan on the heels of vacation and to feel so excited about the future (especially of this little blog!) Am I crazy? Do you use your time off to think ahead and plan or is vacation a total break from reality?
By the way, in case you want that amazing gold arm stack complete with ID bracelet and knot bangle (because I know I do!), here’s how to get the look (at every price range):
It depends on what kind of vacation I’m on. If I am visiting family and friends then I use down time to set up goals…just because I am not one to just sit down. I have to do something.
But if I am in a brand new place where it requires us to stay in a hotel then we are out and hardly ever in the hotel room. I am 100 percent in vacation mode at that point!
Sounds like you guys had a great time! We just got in last night and am so jet lagged!
It is so hard getting back to reality!
I’m about to head on vacation myself for a much-needed refresh. Also, on a separate note, I have been LOVING sleek gold bangles all stacked up. Vita Fede has some great options!
