It’s that time again! Checking in with the latest book club, and you are going to love this book. I sort of stumbled across today’s book hunting on Amazon for something to read, and though the premise seemed a little bit silly (we’ll get to that in a minute!), the reviews were top notch. Let me just say: the reviews did not disappoint!
By the way, in case you’re curious, you can read all about why I started a book club right here. Stay tuned, read along, and join the conversation by tagging me (@glitterinclexi on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter) and #GlitterBookClub in your posts.
So without further ado, book club is in session! On today’s agenda: The Royal We by by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan.
The Royal We by by Heather Cocks and Jessica
It doesn’t take much reading between the lines to figure out that this rom com (romantic comedy) is loosely based on Great Britain’s beloved Prince William and Kate Middleton. Kind of like royal fanfiction, but better. It’s just that it’s done so well; you’ll literally be sucked into the web of romance, heartbreak, plus a little bit of British scandal. It’s hard not to root for “The Royal We”, as they struggle with a normal coming of age relationship in a not-so-normal setting.
From Amazon: American Bex Porter was never one for fairy tales. Her twin sister Lacey was always the romantic, the one who daydreamed of being a princess, but it’s adventure-seeking Bex who goes to Oxford and meets dreamy Nick across the hall-and Bex who finds herself accidentally in love with the heir to the British throne. Nick is wonderful, but he comes with unimaginable baggage: a complicated family, hysterical tabloids tracking his every move, and a public that expected its future king to marry a Brit. On the eve of the most talked-about wedding of the century, Bex looks back on how much she’s had to give up for true love… and exactly whose heart she may yet have to break.
Come on, you know you want to join in on the #GlitterBookClub fun!
