Behind the Scenes: Fall Unwind (Taking it Outside)

For my final Fall Starbucks post, I decided to share how we’re unwinding this season. Typically, I’m a homebody – happy to curl up on the couch with my cup of coffee in hand – but the weather has been amazing here in Miami this fall, so lately we like to take our time off outside, whether it’s for a walk in the park or a snack outside plopped right on the grass. I also tend to over-work (and stay inside), and I really want to expose Scarlett to the great big outdoors.

The other day, we took our books and laptops and made our way outdoors for a little work/play. Scarlett loves it – she coos at the trees and swings her legs from her stroller … it’s pretty darn cute. We brought a big thermos of Starbucks® coffee (I actually made a couple of Starbucks® Caramel K-Cup® Packs and poured them into the thermos … quick, easy, hot and delicious) and threw a few snacks into the diaper bag (which also happens to serve as a great picnic basket!)

We found a nearby picnic bench and set up shop with a few of my favorite things in hand: coffee, sunnies, music, bling, magazines, planner, journal and my phone – plus a little bit of work.
