Looking for the right baby gear to fit your growing family? I’m reviewing the Baby Jogger Summit X3 Double Jogging Stroller and the Graco 4Ever Extend2Fit 4-in-1 Car Seat. And be sure to read all the way to the end for a chance to WIN a Graco 4Ever Extend2Fit 4-in-1 Car Seat of your own!
One of the most frequent questions I get asked is about our strollers and carseats. As a mom, especially as a mom who researches EVERYTHING, baby gear was one of those things I spent a whole lot of time reading up on before we decided on what to use for our babies. And once we added Emme to the mix, I knew I’d research like mad the perfect carseat duo and double stroller addition. I already talked about this stroller that grows with your family, but I wanted matching carseats that could grow with our girls and a double stroller that I could exercise with, we could go on walks with around our hilly neighborhood, to the park, etc.
The Summit X3 Double Jogging Stroller:
Meet our Baby Jogger Summit X3 Double Jogging Stroller. I should start by saying that I had reservations about getting a jogging stroller. I am not a jogger. We do love to take walks, and our neighborhood is surprisingly hilly; but jogging … haha, not so much.
Still, every parent of two or more kids kept recommending a double jogging stroller; the Summit X3 Double in particular. I heard SO many good things about this double stroller, that it was pretty much a no-brainer.
If you’re an on-the-go family, and you have two or more young kids, the Summit X3 Double Jogging Stroller is your stroller.
This hybrid jogging stroller is equipped with air-filled rubber tires, all-wheel suspension, and a remote swivel lock for exceptional performance. The front wheel lock is actually mounted on the handlebar so that you can easily convert between jogger and stroller mode. The all wheel suspension system can handle road bumps and the hand operated rear drum brakes give better control on hilly or uneven terrain. You can use the hand brake to stop quickly or just slow down your momentum on hills.
I’m obsessed with the quick fold technology on Baby Jogger strollers that allows you to fold your double jogging stroller in one super simple step. NOT what I was expecting from a bigger double stroller; and now I’m so impressed. I really wish ALL stroller brands could master this quick fold technology!
MY toddler LOVES the large adjustable sun canopies and peek a boo windows, and I find her playing peek-a-boo with her sister when we’re out for walks. The seats are also the biggest I’ve seen in a stroller, and I suspect she’ll easily be able to sit in the stroller until she’s at least 7 or 8. That’s such a HUGE plus for us, since we travel so much. The Summit X3 Double jogging stroller seats recline to a near flat position, which is amazing for sleepy kiddos.
We also have the pram (a.k.a., bassinet) attachment, which I’ve loved for Emmeline. Without fail, the minute we set out on a walk, she falls asleep, so being able to easily clip in the bassinet, and sneak in a nap for her is pretty lifesaving. She comfortably sits in the regular seats as well; but for now, we’re really loving the bassinet.
I mean, how cute is Scarlett talking to me through the peek-a-boo window on top?

The Convertible Carseat:
You guys, I have literally nothing but glowing things to say about the Graco 4Ever Extend2Fit 4-in-1 Car Seat. This carseat is a dream, and everything I’d been looking for when searching for a carseat that can truly grow with our family.
I spent SO much time researching a carseat that actually lasts. When all of these convertible carseats started coming out on the market – carseats that promised to grow as your child grows – I was ready to find THE one.
The Graco 4Ever Extend2Fit 4-in-1 Car Seat is equipped with a 4-position extension panel that provides 5″ additional leg room; helps protect rear-facing infants from 4-50 pounds and forward-facing toddlers from 22-65 pounds with up to 50 pounds rear-racing to rear-face longer, so that you can keep your little one safely rear-facing, longer, without scrunching their legs.
Everything is so easy to use. The Simply Safe Adjust Harness System adjusts the height of your harness and headrest in one motion, without having to rethread the straps (How genius is that?); the 10-position headrest adjusts easily for your growing child; and the 6-position recline helps keep your child comfy. There’s even an easy-to-read level indicator for hassle-free installation.
According to my toddler, the seat is very comfortable, and she adores having two cup holders; one for her drink and one for her toys. (Everybody gets to ride in style!)
I’ve noticed that the fabric allows a lot of breathing room for our daughter during hot days; big bonus; especially when we take road trips home to Miami.
I also really like the harness system. It’s easy to use and put the kids in and out of their seats, and the way the seat is designed, there are places on either side of the seat to rest the harness buckles while you put your kiddos in, so there’s no tangling, etc.
And of course, the pads are machine-washable. Thank goodness.
By the way, we got ours in the color “Clove”, which is basically black.
Scarlett told me she was going to “sleep” for a picture to show everyone how comfy she is. Total blogger’s kid, right here. 😂
I recommend this carseat to everyone who asks. We’re in love.
