Although mixing metals is nothing new, I always feel like the trend gets a fun little twist come Summer, because Summer is after all, about playing with funkier more playful trends. Knee-high gladiator sandal boots, anyone?
You may have caught my post a few weeks ago all about achieving the work/life balance and how I manage to stay on time, but what you might have missed: the jewelry trend I can’t get enough of … pairing stacks of these layered mis-matched metals.
I’ve never been very good at matchy-matchy – Pair black and brown, black and navy, silver in gold in … well, just about everything (design, jewelry, makeup, you name it!) And then Kenneth Cole sent over this adorable watch, and it was designed with mixed metals in mind … fabulous. So away I went, stacking it with yellow gold, rose gold, silver, and sparkle. Now I can’t stop mixing, and I’m so glad Summer is nearly here, because the way I see it, Summer is all about funky accessories (especially as the Summer months heat up and the rest of my wardrobe takes a less-is-more approach).
So tell me: do you mix your metals?

Just like mixing prints, I have always been a fan of mixing metals. It adds extra flare to your wardrobe.
