Rimmel London StayGlossy Contest

Don’t ask me how, but I’ve been chosen as one of the five Rimmel London StayGlossy finalists!  The end goal?  To become the official Rimmel London Beauty Blogger.  I’m still pinching myself as you read!  So I have a favor to ask – a big one.  Vote.  Vote often.  I’ll send good vibes your way, I promise!  For the next few weeks, I’ll be rolling out a series of London-worthy (or so I hope!) looks, featuring me, and my incredibly awkward modeling.  I apologize in advance.  And trust me, be thankful you miss my behind-the-scenes pouting, geeky dancing, and thematic modeling music set to nursery ryhmes (“I’m a pasty model, short and stout, here is my handle, here is my …” … “What do I do with my arm again?”)

So without further ado, Look Number 1: Date Night with Prince Charming

And a quick sweater change …

Every fashion-forward girl knows that a date with Prince Charming requires an outfit fit for a Princess – and since my tiara was being cleaned, I broke out the tutu!  Yes, I’m obsessed with the tutu.  It starts with my obsession for tulle, and Princess-wear, plus, it’s nearly winter, a.k.a., holiday season, so tutus are fair game.   (Side note:  Every time I wear a tutu I have a major Carrie Bradshaw moment and I swear I can picture myself bouncing around the streets of New York City en route to an amazing photo shoot or post date night re-cap with the girls.)

Back to the outfit details:  I paired my fluffy cream tutu with a draped black tank and soft cardigan.  I’m definitely a cardigan girl, and it’s chilly right now … even in Miami.  I topped the look off with my studded Zara heels and snakeskin Blair Ritchey clutch.

For my lips, I layered Rimmel Stay Glossy in Fuchsia Fever and Stay Glossy in Always Lovely.  I’m completely obsessed with Rimmel’s new glosses.  Fuchsia Fever is a bit more pigmented – extra deep pink – which I adore, and Always Lovely is a shimmery almost iridescent pink – perfect for layering.  I kept the rest of my make-up soft, and added a bold black line above my eyes using Rimmel liquid liner for a little added drama.

And voila – ready for my Prince Charming to sweep me away in his Honda Accord.

For this look, I wore my newest addition, a color-blocked faux leather sleeve jacket, polka dot tunic, jeans, and crazy high dalmatian-print booties (love those beauties!)  I’m a big fan of jeans for a concert night – they’re easy to dance in, comfortable, and I can rock my highest heels with them and pretend to be tall.
