I miss summer. I miss smelling like chlorine and sunscreen, and coming home with red-stained popsicle mouth. I miss forgetting my bathing suit in the Ziploc bag in my Jansport for three days, only to find that rotten bathing suit is pretty nasty. I miss walking around with lanyard hanging from my belt loops and safety-pinned to my socks so as never to miss a friendship-bracelet-making opportunity. I miss flagpole and soffe shorts and rice krispie treats. I miss chipped nail polish and ring pops. I wonder if summer camps hire lawyers.
What are your best summer memories?

I agree with chlorine and sunscreen completely… as soon as I smell sun lotion I know it’s summer. Such an indescribable scent!

I have an unhealthy obsession with the smell of sunscreen. I wear it every day (anti-wrinkle defense), but I secretly love how it smells. I pretend I’m on the beach and not in my tiny office.

I love summer too! The sunshine, swimming, long evenings, hanging out with friends & family and eating!

First of all, I love the Wildfox pics.. they definitely captured what it’s like to be a kid during summer and not have a care in the world.
Some of my favorite memories would be sitting with the top down in my friend’s jeep watching the fireworks on 4th of July.. Those sweet summer days where everything feels like it’s at a stand still and you’ve got the world in your hands. The summer I spent at my grandma’s lake house in Wisconsin, I was seven years old and full of wonder and curiousity… it was that summer that I fell in love with the stars. Or the summer I first snuck out to meet with my boy, my rebel summer..
Ah, this is taking me back.. to the numerous lemonade stands the little entrepreneur in me started. Or that summer that I moved to the beach and everything was different.
I could go on and on.. I can’t wait to see what this summer has in store for me.
