I love throwing a get-together just because, and now that we have a little one, having friends over has become the perfect way to stay social without having to stress over finding a sitter or getting Scarlett home in time for bedtime. Having ingredients on hand to throw together a fun cocktail or spritzer makes my party-throwing job so much easier and more festive.
When it comes to cocktails and mixed drinks, I love something sparkly and light. And having a fruity, somewhat tangy juice like Tropicana® Tangerine Lemonade is the perfect mix-in for most any cocktail. Though I’m a big fan of classic Tropicana Lemonade, I also love this citrusy spin, and was amazed at how well it worked as a cocktail mixer. I wanted to come up with a cocktail that complemented the tangerine, and thus the blackberry tangerine lemonade was born.
If you haven’t tried making fruit ice cubes to add to your favorite sparkling wine or prosecco, you are missing out. Fruity ice cubes are my fave because they’re unbelievably simple to make, you can throw them together ahead of time, and any kind of fancy schmancy ice cube will totally WOW your guests and elevate your party.
I have to credit these large ice cube trays with my newfound obsession. I found these silicone trays and fell immediately in love. They’re BPA free and super easy to use (the silicone makes it so that your ice cubes pop right out with not much effort), and they make these amazing giant ice cubes.
HOW TO MAKE A SPARKLING BLACKBERRY LEMONADE SPRITZER #MixedWithTrop
INGREDIENTS
Tropicana’s Tangerine Lemonade or Tropicana Lemonade
Fresh Blackberries
Prosecco or Sparkling White Wine
DIRECTIONS
- Pour juice into your ice cube tray, about 2/3 of the way.
- Sprinkle in blackberries or any other berries. (Blueberries, raspberries, and/or sliced strawberries would also work really well here!)
- Carefully place the filled trays into the freezer and allow to freeze completely.
- Once frozen, and you’re ready to pour yourself a cocktail, fill a glass with two ice cubes and top with Prosecco or Sparkling White Wine.
How’s that for easy, yummy, and adorable?
