Holiday Metallics: Gilded Gold Nails

I’ve always been a lover of metallics, and in the Fall and winter, when everything is decorated in silver and gold, I can’t help but want to incorporate more of the sparkly fashions into my own everyday routine. I’ve actually found that incorporating a bit of shimmer and sparkle into my beauty routine has really added a fun element to everyday looks, it’s helped me to change up my beauty routine (which I admittedly rarely break from), and it’s an excuse to try new products. My two latest finds: gold eye shadow – even just a hint paired with mascara and my standard black eyeliner, and … drumroll … these amazing essie® Sleek Stick Stickers, found at Target.

I have been on an endless hunt to get those perfect gold foil nails. I love a great gold nail polish (essie’s Good as Gold is a personal favorite of mine), but that shimmery look was just not what I was on the hunt for. I wanted gold gold. And then I discovered the essie® Sleek Stick Stickers in Oh My Gold! And Oh My Gold! is right.

They may take a tiny bit of practice to perfect – but they really are just stickers – so aside from placing them well enough on your bare nails, and filing off the excess sticker at the ends, they look utterly professionally when you’re done applying them. They also last amazingly well – mine stayed on a solid week (baking, showering, and gym included). I actually had to peel the nail stickers off after a while because my nails were growing out underneath them.

I also think these essie® Sleek Stick Stickers would look really pretty over painted nails (TIP: Try a warm Fall/Winter shade like Stylenomics, Miss Fancy Pants, or a classic black or red) or on one or two nails as a glittery accent nail!
