Last week I admitted that the ugly truth was, my work-out clothes were just, well, ugly. But thanks to Old Navy, and some proper self-coaxing into the world of athletic wear, I came out a winner. I’ve always shied away from athletic clothing. I was convinced no amount of spandex was going to cover my bum or get me into the gym. I was only half wrong. Old Navy’s compression spandex actually makes me look fit, and I didn’t even have to go to the gym! … but I probably should. And Old Navy’s Athletic wear doesn’t have to look athletic to achieve its function.
The pants are all really well cut, the tops come in shapes I’d actually be caught dead in out of the house, and the jacket has a thumb hole. If you grew up in the nineties and spent homeroom cutting thumb holes into all of your sweaters so that you could look more alternative (guilty as charged), you’ll totally get why this is utterly awesome. They also have an adorable collection of super inexpensive sneakers that come in every color of the rainbow. A funky shoe is important when the only workout gear I will buy is in varying shades of black and gray. Now instead of jogging (slash-leisurely strolling through my neighborhood saying hi to everyone’s dogs) in the world’s most awful sweatpants, I may actually take a stab at looking fit … and awesome, I hope.
What I’m Wearing: Old Navy Active Compression Leggings // Old Navy Striped Active Bubble Tank // Old Navy Active Compression Jacket // Old Navy Active Sneakers
And don’t forget, the whole line of Old Navy active wear is on sale – up to 40% off through January 16th.

Haha the thumb holes are pretty awesome (so we’re the 90’s!), I definitely use them to bring my sleeves down over my hands as an added layer under my gloves when I go running in super cold temps 🙂 P.S. LOVE the yoga mat!

I am soooo intrigued by this line! I am always looking for cute, functional, and INEXPENSIVE compression wear! It’s sooo hard to find quality and cost-efficient workout gear! You look GREAT by the way! xoxo

I love their Active stuff, it’s some of the only stuff I was able to find that fit me! (I’m sporting DDs and a waist not large enough to fit into most L or XL sports bras!) Do their compression pants work well though? I have a few of their yogas, but no compressions.
Lexi says
These are my first pair and so far I love them – they fit well and are surprisingly flattering!

Love it! You look great. Where did you find the mat?

Thank you so much! I actually found the mat at TJMaxx – lucky find! 🙂
