How to Look Cool on Halloween Without Really “Dressing Up”

Whether you have big Halloween plans to hit an over-the-top costume party, pass out candy in bunny ears, trick-or-treat with your little ones, or simply catch up on your annual Hocus Pocus viewing (and you know I’ve already recorded it!), it’s always fun to get into the Halloween spirit. Even if you just want to dabble in it! Plus, who doesn’t love an excuse to dress up? Halloween is the best time to let your inner freak flag fly and show-off your goth side. (Can you tell I’m a total product of the 90s? Wednesday Addams is my spirit animal.)

I’m a pretty big fan of an edgy chic Halloween look that can go from day-to-night without requiring an elaborate “costume”; a.k.a., a little black dress or cute black top and jeans with spooky accessories that have a Halloween vibe, black nail polish, and a great big bag of candy corn.

I also love the idea of snatching up a few cute things to wear on Halloween that I can switch over to my everyday wardrobe pretty effortlessly. That’s the beauty of dressing for Halloween without really “dressing up”. I have my eye on this adorable dress, these studded boots (that I might never take off my feet), and those Charlotte Olympia velvet kitty loafers that I’ve basically had a crush on for years now.
