In case you haven’t yet heard the news, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access is here! This is Nordstrom’s biggest sale of the year. If you’re new to the sale, what makes the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so special is that the sale is actually ALL NEW fall and winter items that are marked down for a limited time. When the sale ends, the prices go back up to their original price.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is Nordstrom’s biggest sale of the year, and easily a favorite of mine.
I’ll admit, the sale isn’t what it once was, but I still feel strongly that for basics and closets staples, this is one of the best sales out there. The deals on the upcoming season’s coats, shoes, handbags, beauty, baby gear, and home really can’t be beat. I also buy our kids new winter coats and rain boots almost every single year at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. That and the best deodorant ever.
If you’re on the hunt for a few staples and fall and winter must-haves, the sale is definitely worth taking a look at.

Not to worry! Public access (a.k.a., where everyone with or without a Nordstrom card) can shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale on July 28th.
Tips for Shopping the Best Deals of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
I take advantage of the sale every year, and I’ve bought some of my favorite pieces through the sale. (My favorite coats, pairs of boots, and handbags are all from Nordstrom Anniversary Sales of years past.)
Because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the perfect time to stock your closet for fall and winter, take a mini inventory of your closet, and decide where you’re lacking or where you’d like to update a bit with the latest trends. Same goes for your spouse, partner, kids, etc. The trick is, deciding what to splurge on and what to refresh.
Each year during the sale, I typically buy at least one investment piece, whether that be a new coat, a handbag, a wallet, or a dream pair of boots. If you really look, some of the pricier designer pieces are marked down 40% or more. (And remember, these are NEW items that will go back to full price at the end of the sale.)
An inexpensive way to add on-trend basics to your fall and winter wardrobe is by shopping Nordstrom’s Trend or BP department; so many cute, affordable finds there.
If you’re somewhat new to shopping the Nordstrom sale, keep in mind that Nordstrom is awesome with returns and anything that is’t love, you can easily return.
Last but not least, don’t fret if you don’t have early access to the sale. Rumor has it, Nordstrom will restock with each tier access (mainly early access and public access) this year.

Think about what you need and want. Plan with the upcoming colder weather in mind, even though it feels like it’s about a million degrees outside right now. Remember that Nordstrom plans to restock items, but many of the best and most popular deals will sell out FAST. Nordstrom has an amazing return policy, with free shipping and returns, so don’t be shy about ordering something, trying it out, and returning it if it’s not a perfect fit.
