Little Love Notes

free love prints _ glitterinc.com

Dear Ashley Ella Design, thank you for these adorably awesome (and free) prints.

Dear girls who date douche bags, listen to this song on repeat.  It’s called Everybody Knows {Your Boyfriend is a Douchebag}.  Just be sure not to fall for the guy singing the ridiculously catchy song … he’s clearly a douchebag.

Dear readers, I am SO excited to announce that I am in my first ever ad unit thanks to Stylecaster and Lord & Taylor … talking my very favorite thing: shopping (Summer’s hottest trends, to be exact!)  And yes, that IS my face in an advertisement.  Oh my gawd.

Dear DIY aficionados, anyone brave enough (slash, talented enough) to recreate this neon tassel necklace put together by the genius, Grace, along with jewelry designers Holst & Lee?  (And if so, I have a birthday coming up … in September.)

Dear shortbread blueberry bars, you’re speaking my baking language.

Dear Coach Legacy collection, is it just me or do you just keep getting better and better?  This Coach Legacy Leather Mini Willis bag would make the perfect travel companion for my upcoming adventure.

Dear weekend, take your time.  I still have loads of packing to do, plus a graduation party to go to. (And Monday morning we get the keys to our new place!)

And last but not least, dear everyone, I’m nominated for “Biggest Girl Crush” in The Indie Chicks 2013 Badass Blogger Awards!  (Happy dance!)  VOTE for me?

Last-Minute Holiday Party

Somehow, some way, the Holiday season has arrived without my standard weeks of pre-planning.  Truth be told, the season just kind of got away from me.  And of course, now all I want to do is throw an adorable Holiday party.

I found these free Holiday printables from The Party Dress, and they make for an easy (and crafty) Holiday party without much fuss.

Have you thrown any Holiday parties this season? Did you DIY anything for the event?

A Cookie Exchange Party

I’ve never actually been to a cookie exchange, and truth-time, that makes me bizarrely sad. I need to get my friends and family in gear. I love love love baking and a party that requires lots and lots of baking sounds awwwwesome. Plus, the whole point of a cookie exchange is to mix up your cookie assortment for gift-giving … you can also eat plenty of cookies along the way … for sampling purposes only, duh.

Catch My Party took it a step further and created a “Cookies and Cocoa” – themed printable party set and now I really want to throw that party I’ve always been missing out on.

The printables include invitations, a party banner, straw flags, water bottle labels, cocoa and cookie bar signs, tented cards and recipe cards.

And check out the “Cookies and Cocoa” soiree come-to-life on Catch My Party!  Jillian even used the “Thank You” printables to tie on to Christmas cookie cutters as adorable party favors … I’m in love.

Friday Link Love

It’s official.  I need a break.  So this Saturday, the hubby and I are throwing on flip-flops and about a pound of sunscreen and heading for the beach (or so the plan goes … fingers crossed.)  We’re currently “saving” so it’s a day-date rather than an overnight, but I’ll take it.  Do you ever just need a day of nothing?  Sometimes when I am utterly stressed, the hot sun, a greasy lunch, a big iced tea, and shops full of kitsch are just what I need.  How do you unwind and bring yourself back to zen?

I’m also in love with …

This amaze-balls vintage-esque Free People dress.

I want to try this Tangled Thai Salad. Yum!

These free printables are so lovely I could burst!  I really must scrapbook our wedding (errr, we’re coming up on our 2-year anniversary.)

I’m making up adjectives today.  I need a vacation.  Bad.

Inpired By Sunset + Donuts

The title of this post summed up = I need a vacation.

Also, in attempting to name this color palette, I was thinking something lovely, like “salmon + blueberry” or “sunset + lavender”, but really, it’s pink + purple.  And I like it.

Those incredible-looking donuts sound just as amazing once you hear what they’re made of — they are actually homemade baked (feeling skinny already) chocolate donuts with blood orange glaze.  Make them.

And the sweet thank you notes – there’s a free download for those.
