Farmhouse style is so popular in home and interior design right now. Anyone else completely obsessed with Fixer Upper’s Chip and Joanna Gaines? Watch a few episodes of the popular HGTV show and you’ll want to shiplap everything. I’m no exception; so when I laid eyes on this fully renovated bright, white family farmhouse, I couldn’t wait to share a few glimpses inside. This is modernized farmhouse style done so right.
Right from the start, two banana trees in large galvanized metal buckets frame the entrance for a bright and bold first impression. I’m also majorly crushing on the idea of placing a natural jute rug just outside the front door. So warm and welcoming.
Want that grey and white striped rug.
The rustic wood touches and exposed wood beams (left natural) are a nod to the home’s farmhouse roots.
Both the white marble kitchen and the beautifully lit open dining room feel modern and fresh. (a.k.a., Pinterest-worthy.)
Definitely copying this foyer style. So sleek yet welcoming.
