Little Love Notes

White Kitchen Corner with Copper and Wood Details

Happy weekend, everyone! We’ve been living in a temporary apartment for a few weeks now, waiting for our new home, and I’m definitely starting to miss our space, our stuff (95% is in storage!), and a backyard. You don’t realize how great a backyard is until you, your toddler, and dog, are trapped in a one-bedroom apartment at the start of summer. In the meantime, I’m planning Scarlett’s second birthday party (How did that get here so soon?) and all of the fun decorating I’m going to do in the new house. This weekend is mostly a working weekend, with a little brunch mixed in, and we may try to venture out on Sunday for a family adventure if the rain stays away. How about you? Any exciting weekend plans?

I’ll be sharing what we’re up to throughout the weekend over on instagramfacebooktwitter, and snapchat → glitterinclexi (lots of fun behind-the-scenes there). Follow along!

With that, a few little love notes …

Dear everyone, did you catch the story about the British grandma who includes “please” and “thank you” in Google searches? Google thanked her for her politeness!

Dear summer wanderlust, America’s best little beach towns.

Dear design lovers, one incredible small bathroom makeover.

Dear throwback vibes, this lariat choker might be the perfect excuse to jump (back) on the retro trend.

Dear end of week gigglesfamous novels retitled like episodes of Friends.

Dear brides, the most popular songs played at weddings.

Dear DIY’s to try, the loveliest floral curtains you can make this weekend.

Dear home inspiration, take a look inside designer Ulla Johnson’s light and layered bohemian home.

Dear go-getters, how one New York Times writer launched a food empire.

Dear weekend baking, summer strawberry cake.

Get the origins of these sweet little love notes, here, and catch up on love notes of the past.
