Little Love Notes

I officially have a case of New York Fashion Week FOMO (“fear of missing out”).  This year will be the first in the past several years that I won’t be attending the crazy/amazing NYFW festivities.  After scrolling through the invites, and a brief stint on JetBlue’s website considering flights, I finally had to throw in the towel and admit two very important things: (1) Scarlett needs me more than I need fashion week, and (2) NYFW really is that crazy (of course I can’t forget the amazing part) – but it’s crazy for the days in NYC running from meeting to show to party, but also crazy for the days and weeks leading up to the events because I live in Miami, and if I’m heading to NYC, I have to make it worthwhile for my blog, a.k.a., scheduling meetings, organizing my calendar, and writing posts in advance so that my blog doesn’t suffer while I’m gone – but the crazy part tends to rule out here, and I need my energy.  So I’m sitting this one out, and crying a little on the inside.  A little online shopping may be in order this weekend.

And with that, a few little love notes …

Dear above-mentioned online shopping, this dress is first on my shopping list.

Dear September, I can’t believe you’re already here, and Summer is coming to a close (Fall officially kicks off September 22nd) … this year has flown right by (new baby and all!)

Dear Adam Levine, you continue to be awesome … this time it’s at musical impersonations.

Dear Free People, an instagram campaign? Genius.

Dear brides-to-be, you have got to get in on the wedding gif action.

Dear TV fanatics (you know you’re with me), have you seen my awesome Fall TV guide?

Dear cutest of kitchens, yellow bar stools for the win.

Dear weekend baking, whole wheat chocolate chip cookie bars … where the whole wheat makes these, err, healthy.

Dear Joan Rivers, you were one hell of a funny lady and you will be missed.

  1. i totally get you on the FOMO lexi! but for me, it’s not NYFW…it’s the fact that three of my best friends will all be on separate europe trips this month and i have to stay home and live vicariously through their instagram feeds!
