Wedding Hair: A Jeweled Necklace Crown

wedding hair style necklace jewels crown

I fell in love with this unique wedding hairstyle the moment I saw it … a delicate softly curled hairstyle topped with a jeweled headband … and then I realized the headband/crown was no headband at all, but actually a necklace draped over the back of the bride’s hair … so cool.

To recreate the look, allow your hair to air-dry (or quickly blow dry) and then run a curling iron or hair iron through several sections to create loose curls.  Top with a finishing spray.  Choose your favorite statement necklace and drape across the top of your head.  Secure the sides of the necklace with a handful of bobby pins.  (Keep in mind that the bobby pins will have to hold the weight and links of the necklace, so choose a piece that’s not incredibly heavy and has flatter links or chain towards the base so that your bobby pins can secure the sections that you pin to the crown of your head).  Use the front and top pieces of hair to loosely hide the bobby pins.
