Playing Dress-up: Men’s Footwear

I’m usually timid about trying the more androgynous fashion trends; I like to keep it feminine, with just a bit of edge. But lately, some of my favorite fashion-forward types have been rocking some pretty masculine shoes, and I’ve got to say, I kind of love it. I’m particularly smitten with the loafer, but oxfords, smoking flats, brogues, and (the slightly more feminine) saddle shoes, are all fast-approaching on my radar. I love the look of bare legs with a great menswear shoe; especially paired with a more feminine skirt, or toughened up with boyfriend jeans, so vintage-cool.

You definitely could – just try it with boyfriend jeans or cropped pants to start. :)

Please can anyone tell me where to get those gold and black brogues. I’ve been scouring the internet for hours and nothing has turned up. The gold plate looks like it is separate from the shoe, btw. Please help.
