Playing Dress-up: the t-shirt

I’ve been working on coming out of my t-shirt shell (the shell I crawled into post summer camp so many years ago … you can read more on that crazy here.)  So you can imagine, when Old Navy asked me to style a t-shirt … the dreaded t-shirt … I thought, “uh oh.”  But I marched into my local Old Navy store, found the blackest of black tees (plus an adorable little pocket … I have a thing for pockets), and figured I can totally “edge” this up.  What does that mean, exactly?  Add lots of accessories, of course. Please excuse the wind; Miami was having one of those days.

By the way, who knew a t-shirt could be so darn comfy?  I’m kind of in love!

As for the accessories: no lie, I spent a good twenty minutes sorting through the racks and bins of jewelry at Old Navy.  So many great finds for Spring right now … and I have been wearing the heck out of the neon and chain friendship bracelets.

And be sure to check out my first post for Old Navy, here!

Hey girl hey! You look amazing as always–I still will forever be jealous of how pretty your hair is.

So random but cool — I’m in the process of publishing my first novel (EEK!) and my agent is trying to get me to ramp up my “author” blog. There’s this writing “blogger award” thing going around, only sadly, I don’t have a ton of official writing blog friends yet. So, I figured I would tag other bloggers I actually like. 🙂

No pressure if you don’t have time–I totally understand. It’s one of those 11Random Facts / 11 Random Question/Answer type things.

    Thanks doll!!!

You did great. Love the rings and arm party. Those pants. I wanna be brave enough to bust out a print like that.
