One of a Kind Style: Grunge

A few weeks ago I shared the pieces that add to my one of a kind style; the accessories.   But here’s what influences my one of a kind style:  I am a child of the nineties and a product of grunge.  Kurt Cobain was on my wall growing up.  (I still love a bizarre mash-up of Tool, Nirvana, Stereophonics, Weezer, Wilco, and Counting Crows, sprinkle in 90s rap and you’ve got my favorite playlist.)  Sweaters pulled over wrists and thumbs, tattered jeans, eyeliner, wide bell legs, sweatshirts, plastic beaded bracelets, spikes and studs, backpacks, the color black. Today I crave a more grown-up grunge … with a touch of glam and a great pair of high heels, but my tastes haven’t really changed all that much.

The 90s are my favorite style era as well, let’s just go back, ok?! Loving this grunge inspiration, definitely makes me want to edge it up a little today. Maybe I’ll skip washing my hair and wear some flannel! :)
