I’ve always used the dresses celebrity’s wear on the red carpet and at major awards shows as a guide for what wedding dress styles will be trending in the new year. And based on this year’s Golden Globes, the wedding dress styles should be real stunners. As I watched the 2013 Golden Globes last night and squealed every time another gorgeous actress walked out decked in tulle, crystals, and pleats.
I absolutely loved Jessica Alba’s peach Oscar de la Renta fitted gown; the hair, fuzzy orange Roger Vivier clutch, and $5.8 million Mrs. Winston by Harry Winston necklace weren’t half bad either.
Amanda Seyfried’s Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown, Fred Leighton jewelry and signature waves, might have stolen the show for me — she looked just lovely and wore a dress I would 100% wear.
Jennifer Garner’s scarlet Vivienne Westwood Couture would make a stunning cut for a wedding dress to fit most shapes and Hayden Panettiere’s mermaid-style Roberto Cavalli nearly looked like a wedding dress as is (which I loved!)
And though I don’t think many brides will be mimicking Kate Hudson’s daring, curve-hugging black Alexander McQueen dress, I have to give credit where credit is due: she looked amazeballs.
Kerry Washington’s peek-a-boo Miu Miu sparkler would make a gorgeous rehearsal dinner ensemble too.
Who was your night’s best-dressed? Would you wear any of the dresses from the red carpet?
