Vacation + Crafting

I don’t know why I need the excuse of a “vacation” to do the things I love – crafting, drawing, scrapbooking, writing (for fun) – but I do.

I think at home, I can’t fully relax.  I have a list that runs a mile long, job(s), commitments, and all of those take precedent over papier-mâché or bracelet-making or pottery.  And though I’m still mostly “plugged” on vacation, I do make the time for crafts.  I wish I could do that in real life!

Any suggestions?  Do you make time to do the things you love or do you end up putting them off until you’ve fully escaped (a.k.a., vacation)?

I would love to offer up some suggestions, but like you, I have been waiting for some “spare time” to magically present itself! I’ve been thinking I’m going to just have to commit to getting up early on Saturday spend a few hours on fun stuff (before the rest of the house starts stirring)!

I have considered setting a few hours each week to do what I really want, but life always gets in the way! Though I may have more luck early Saturday morning, haha.

Thank you SO much — you’re too kind!

  3. That photo just makes me happy! If I don’t carve out some time to do something like that I enjoy (at least every once in a while) I get grumpy. =) Even if it is just to be in a quiet spot with some good music.

It really is so good to unwind and just take in “me time”!
