Neon Home Design

I love unexpected design elements, especially in the home. When it comes to decorating, I’m mostly vanilla, and I feel like a real rebel when I buy a zebra print throw (this is not to be confused with my wardrobe which looks like an explosion of feathers, sequins, and black on overkill.) But these bright pops of color have me dreaming in spray paint cans and I’ve surveyed the house three times now looking for items to coat in hot pink.

Easy pops of color work well in the kitchen, but pillows and throws are also a simple and colorful add-on.  Bold prints that utilize one or two major colors, like ikat and Marimekko work well with neons, and lucite is always fun in technicolor.

These are fantastic!! I’m painting one wall of my new bedroom that bright blue and cannot be more excited for it 🙂 Might need to pair it with some of these other great neon furnishings!
