Summer Ikat

In a close second to chevron, is my obsession with ikat prints.  Ikat, or Ikkat (in Indonesian), is a visual play on tie dye:  fibers are woven together using a resist dyeing procedure quite similar to tie dye.  The dye is applied before the threads are woven to create the final fabric pattern or design.

Oh, why don’t I own anything in this print! It is so bold and ethnic-looking. That yellow dress is so beautiful, I imagine pairing it with killer heels. And the black and white romper is just adorable!
