I Made You A Mixtape

{images a la pinterest}

Hand-holding was awkward, being dropped off at the movie theater for your date – more awkward, but when he made you a mix tape – that was love. Because I live a soundtracked life (more on that here), and because I am a product of the 80s, every Wednesday I’ll make you a mix tape. Who says chivalry is dead? You’re welcome.

    Um…were we maybe separated at birth? I’m a new reader and every time I come on here to catch up on my reading, I think that you and I were cut from the same [no doubt fabulous] cloth. Mix tapes were THE best! I had a boyfriend once that made me one every week and would mail them to my house, complete with an accompanying love letter stating all of the numerous reasons why he was enamored with me. Your girl power mix really hit the spot today. So, thanks for that.

    • This is one of the best comments ever! I am so glad you found my blog. My boyfriend in high school used to change song lyrics to fit our story and then awkwardly play the songs on his guitar. That was love. Keep on visiting and so glad to have met (via the internet!) xox
