Happy Tape – Japanese Paper Tape

Meet Happy Tape, or Japanese Paper Tape, also known as The World’s Prettiest Duct Tape. (I am from the school of thought that duct tape fixes everything, and thus, this tape makes me very happy indeed.)

This Japanese masking tape comes in a whole host of beautiful colors and patterns. Made of Japanese washi paper, this fanciful tape is perfect for decorating packages, gift wrapping, scrapbooking, card making, fancy labels, the list goes on.

One of my favorite ways to wrap gifts is to use old Japanese newspaper. Martha Stewart showed me that in the 90s. (Don’t tell anyone!) She suggested covering the newspaper with colored cellophane which is pretty, but it’s just as cute without it and much better for the environment! 🙂

I’m probably the worst wrapper in the entire world, so I used this kind of tape last Christmas to detract from the crappy wrapping job. Everyone was uber impressed and I got brownie points for creativity.

(On a completely semi-unrelated side note, I am an amazing RAPPER. FO realz.)
